microPolariscope is a high-fidelity Front-End PWA prototype developed as a final degree project, designed as an agile, mobile-first companion to the existing Polariscope platform.
Focused on simplifying georeferenced event discovery and community content sharing, the client-side application was built using React, Vite, and Leaflet, incorporating PWA capabilities for standalone installation and optimized caching.
The project spanned the full product development lifecycle, from UX research, brainstorming, and interface prototyping to front-end developing and QA. Real-user usability tests were conducted on both systems to identify friction points in Polariscope and validating measurable agility improvements, responsiveness, and seamless content publishing in the microPolariscope prototype.
While the current prototype successfully validates the interface and interaction models, key areas for future iteration have been mapped out, including back-end integration (database and authentication), security protocols, and further UX refinements based on user feedback.
